To be vulnerable
By Shloime Richler
To be vulnerable
What is it already?
To show that I too am?
That I too
feel as you?
Think as you
Do as you
Want as you
That I too,
Look into pains of life
Run to soothe my scared chest
Try shelter that sobbing little boy
Tripp on the rocks
Fall on face
Sleep in mud
embarrassed to show the blood dripping on my shirt
What do I do different?
All I do is speak
All I speak is
Here I am. This is I.
This is human
human for the heart hidden in my rib cage
And maybe I ask,
What is it for yours?
