The name of me
By Dov Kalmenson
I walked with the air, and I heard my heart
Whisper into my ear my true Name, And I felt in the words of the woods’ whisper,
Forget your past, your memories, your bonds and your allegiance,
Your grievance.
You are cradled in now, in experience, in wholeness, We who surround you, you surround us with your mind, And we are you. Know peace as peace knows you in knowledge,
In its form like the bark of a tree, And the bristles of sun-rays,
Impaling gently.
~
Reconcile the indignities, the discomforts
Must as they needs be in experience, And simply flow gently,
Life’s bosom is the gut flow, the decadence of endless riches, Of sensation - Sensation! - sating the true light,
Tickling ever my heartstrings and playing my unconscious mind back
Into peaceful slumber, unroused again by the Name,
The Name of me.
