Personal Geulah
By Bluma Rapoport
I didn’t expect it.
So lonely out there,
Knowing there is more
But afraid to admit it.
~
When I finally did
And lost whatever I had to,
So surprising to see
How many here looking out there.
~
Year after year with no mention of G-d,
All of life’s physical
With no meaning attached.
It strangled me.
~
So I clumsily wobbled over the bridge
Because from there to here
You have to acknowledge.
The Aleph in all that you do.
~
But they laugh.
They won’t admit it, but just underneath, they are mocking.
And you perceive it.
~
Cause in our world, faith and ignorance are equated.
You feel a need to explain, defend and excuse it.
~
But I’m finished with that.
~
Now they are the ones who have to defend it,
how the mind is the ultimate
and superrational despised.
~
Thank G-d I chose to listen to within,
Because not long after that,
The Time of Your Redemption
shook the worlds.
~
And now reason and above reason are perfectly merging.
With every step we take.
